Who We Are

The Ruwi Malayalee Association (RMA) is a dynamic and community-driven expatriate organization based in Ruwi, Oman. It stands as a unifying platform dedicated to bringing together all Malayalees across Oman, regardless of region, background, or profession.

Established with a strong commitment to social responsibility, cultural preservation, and humanitarian service, RMA has rapidly grown into a trusted and impactful organization within the Malayalee diaspora.

Founder's Vision

Founder: Faizal Aluva

The foundation of RMA is deeply rooted in the vision and leadership of Faizal Aluva, whose commitment to community service and unity laid the groundwork for this organization.

Driven by a clear understanding of the challenges faced by expatriates, the Founder envisioned a platform that would:

  • Unite all Malayalees in Oman under one umbrella
  • Provide timely support during crises
  • Promote cultural identity and heritage
  • Create opportunities for social connection and growth

His leadership has been instrumental in transforming this vision into a structured and active community organization.

"Unity is our strength, and service is our responsibility."

— Faizal Aluva

Under his guidance, RMA continues to expand its reach and impact across Oman.

02

Expatriate Welfare & Crisis Support

RMA actively supports Malayalees across Oman in times of need: emergency medical assistance, financial aid for distressed individuals, shelter and food support for stranded expatriates, and assistance with documentation and repatriation. Several humanitarian interventions have been recognized in media.

03

Advocacy & Public Issues

The association has taken strong, responsible stands on issues affecting expatriates — protesting the shifting of NET exam centers from Gulf countries, raising concerns over rising airfares and reduced connectivity, and highlighting issues faced by Malayalees in Oman.

04

Cultural & Community Engagement

Vibrant programs bring together Malayalees from all parts of Oman — Children's Drawing Competitions, Iftar Gatherings, Health Awareness Programs, and Community Meetups. These events strengthen unity, encourage participation, and celebrate diversity.
